Deauville Racecourse was redesigned as an immense kitchen for the occasion, run by 12 chefs and embraced with a cocktail of shops essential to the art of entertaining, including a delicatessen, a florist and an interior decoration boutique. The participants were divided into 12 groups, each under the direction of a master chef, and asked to conjure up a meal for one person. Their assignment was not only to prepare the finest meal but also to set a table according to the rules. To help them meet this challenge, a wine expert, a head waiter and a florist wereon hand to guide them in their choice and offer skilled advice. At the launch preview dinner presenting the House's new perfume, a jury composed of experts announced the winning team.
